FTC Red Flags Rule/Identity Theft
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Red Flags Rule require that a business entity develop, implement, and maintain a complete set of written policies to address handling the potential for identity theft situations.
Eagle provides a complete identity theft program as part of the HIPAA COmpliance System. Policies have been fully written as part of the HCS Privacy policies.
Updated policies for identity theft will be provided as the FTC publishes modofications and new interpretations for compliance with the Red Flags Rule.
Policies for the FTC's Red Flags Rule are incoporated into Eagle Associates' HIPAA Compliance System under Privacy Rule Requirements.
